What can a few choice materials do for the allure of a hotel? Quite a bit, judging from a cursory glance at the renovated La Réserve in Knokke. This premium resort reinvented itself with a style that exudes both timeless class and contemporary luxury, courtesy of HPL, melamine and Clicwall in neutral yet elegant designs.
Every one of the hotel’s 108 bathrooms received a refined HPL finish in Romantic Oak light – a soft wood look that creates a wonderful sense of serenity. Ideal for the bathroom as HPL cleans easily and boasts maximum resistance against scuff marks, wear & tear and humidity. For the reception area, the wine cabinets and the restaurant, where Peter Goossens stirs the pots, a slightly darker hue was in order with elements in Master Oak brown. All but indistinguishable from real wood, this material contributes to the hotel’s warm and luxurious atmosphere.
