More than 900,000 tonnes! That’s how much wood our factories can recycle into new panel material every year. Wondering where that wood comes from? Waste processors, container parks, demolition companies, the packaging industry… and businesses like yours! Thanks to the take-back programme Recover, we can recycle your chipboard and MDF leftovers into brand-new panel material.
It’s simple: you collect your chipboard and MDF/HDF leftovers and we take care of the rest. Together with our partners, we ensure smooth and proper collection of your wood waste. We place a container at your place of business or at the worksite. When it’s full, just give us or our partner a quick call and we’ll swap it out promptly.
Chipboard leftovers are broken down and chipped. These chips are then used to produce new chipboards.
MDF/HDF waste is processed using a steam explosion method to extract the fibres. These recovered fibres are given a second life in our new MDF panels.
As a manufacturer, we take responsibility, not just for the products we make but also for what happens to them afterwards. That’s why we place maximum focus on recycling. We also want to make your life easier and help you meet your own sustainability goals so that together we can create a positive impact on our planet.
We have chipboard waste and Unilin has the expertise to put it to good use. A win-win situation, in other words."
Did you know any company with at least 50 tonnes of wood waste per year can take part in Recover?
